A beautiful, gloriously ornate confection, our "Jesus, Joy of Angels" antique Christmas card is a collector's dream. A lovely example of what made Germany's Luxuxpapier, or "fancy paper" industry so famous, this choice fold-out card is more than 115 years old! Printed in vibrant colors on die-cut cardstock, the card was hand-embellished with an intricately embossed, gilt Dresden foil paper altar, pink honeycomb tissue paper rosette, and a chromolithograph Baby Jesus scrap with angels. Measuring 6¼" high by 3¼" wide, the card folds open to a 2" deep tableau. This antique card comes complete with its original old envelope and arrives gift boxed.
