A sophisticated evening slipper for la dame élégante, this old-time bonbonnière is très chic! An imaginative confection of an ornament, whimsical trifles such as this were filled with small sweets and hung from the boughs of Belle Époque Christmas trees at the turn of the last century. This nostalgically-styled scrap and tarlatan ornament is accented with a silky mauve bow and fancily-beaded Eisdraht swirls, then finished with gilt Dresden trims and a genuine antique floral scrap which dates to the 1890's. 6¼" high, it was designed and crafted in our Ridgewood atelier.
