Japanese Silk Folding Fan
A pretty accessory for your favorite doll, petite silk fans such as these were very popular as Christmas ornaments during the early 1900's. Individually painted by hand, the elegant flower designs on each silk fan is a delicate work of art. Crafted in the traditional fashion with a monture of thin wooden slats, this style of folding fan was invented in Japan in the 6th century. Open fan is 6" wide by 3½" high. Old store stock that dates to the 1950's, each fan arrives still in its original packaging.
