A special treat for the Christmas connoisseur, this nostalgic Santa was inspired by German Nikolaus candy container figures of the early 20th century. Designed in the fashion of a traditional center slide candy container, he lifts apart at the waist to reveal a secret inner compartment which can hold sweets or small treats! Crafted by our artists in our Ridgewood atelier, we had his papier-mâché head, arms and boots custom made especially for us in Germany by a 100 year old firm. Wearing a coat of cotton flannel, Santa has a rabbit fur beard and holds a tree of real goose feathers. So authentic in both style and construction, he is meticulously hand crafted in the Blümchen atelier with an eye to detail. 7" tall. Gift boxed.
