From elegant Victorian Tannenbaums of the 1870's to shiny aluminum trees of the 1950's, these filigree Lametta tinsel decorations have added their Old World sparkle to American Christmas trees for more than a century.
Founded in 1689, the German factory which made all of our filigree Lametta ornaments closed its doors for good in 2003. As many
of these Lametta tinsel decorations will never again be produced, Blümchen is pleased to be able to share these old-time treasures with Christmas collectors and enthusiasts.

Sparkling Filigree Tinsel Stars
If you could reach up into the heavens and gather a galaxy of bright, sparkling stars for your tree....
Made in Germany by a company which was founded in 1689, these traditional tinsel star ornaments
were manufactured on the original antique machines which had been in use for more than a century.
Created using extremely rare colored tinsels, these Lametta tinsel supplies were so precious that the
raw materials were kept stored in a
vault! When the factory closed down in 2003, Blümchen had their entire remaining inventory of colored tinsels made into filigree Christmas stars exclusively for us.

Filigree Starbursts and Helmut's Comets
Heavenly, old-fashioned ornaments for Christmas, these fancy filigree tinsel starbursts and comets were made in Germany on Victorian-era machines. Elegant in form, these classic ornaments have
been made in Germany for more than 100 years. Created using stiff Lametta tinsel which is spirally
wound onto wire centers, the three-dimensional stars
and comets are all assembled individually by
hand. Please note that the real silver-plated Lametta tinsel used is "guaranteed to tarnish."

Filigree Tinsel Icicles ~ Old-Fashioned Lametta Tinsel "Eiszapfen"
Like sparkling icicles from an enchanted forest, our old-time filigree tinsel ornaments have a glistening,
icy look that is quite magical on a Christmas tree. One of the most traditional types of ornaments, our
stiff metallic
tinsel icicles with wire centers were made in Germany on antique machines which date
to the
turn-of-the-last-century. Available in three lengths, these Lametta icicles are equally at home
on rustic, naturalistically-decorated trees as well as elegant, high-style Victorian Christmas trees.
We offer a gold and silver mix as well as solid silver icicles. Please note that the real silver-plating
of the Lametta tinsel is "guaranteed to tarnish" so that these icicles will achieve an antiqued patina.

Our trio of large-size Lametta filigree stars can be used as tree top decorations as well as hanging
ornaments. Made with a length of wire on one point as a fastener,
these luxurious, glittering stars are
perfect to
decorated with additional embellishments such as Dresden trims,
Lametta tinsel roping and
scrap
relief
pictures to make them extra-special. Created using stiff Lametta tinsel which is spirally
wound
onto sturdy wire centers, the fancy, 12-pointed stars were all assembled individually by hand.
Created exclusively for Blümchen using extremely rare colored tinsels, this is our final quantity of these
