This ivory silk batting is a luxurious batting for the discriminating quilter, and with its textured surface and soft sheen it is especially nice when crafting Victorian-style batting ornaments. The batting has a smoother surface on one side, with a more "pebbled" texture on the reverse, and is manufactured from 90% silk with 10% denier polyester.

Made from a blend of the very finest natural silk with fine denier polyester, Tuscany silk batting is the best quality available. This silk batting breathes naturally, and can be quilted by hand or machine up up to 3 1/2" apart. This washable silk batting will shrink up to 5%, but can be gently pre-soaked if no shrinkage is desired. The batting has an approximate loft of 1/8". Sheet is 45" by 60". Made in America.
