Hard at work painting the finishing touches on an extra-large egg, these rabbit artists are quite busy making ready for Easter Sunday! This lighthearted egg may at first glance appear to be a foil-covered chocolate candy egg, but it's actually a papier-mâché gift box! Vintage, mint condition old stock which dates to the 1960's, this unique egg box is made of pressed cardboard which is covered on both sides by the same printed-foil image. The inside of the egg is finished with a paper lace frill to edge the bottom half of the box, and the decorative inner lining features a design of running rabbits with "Western-Germany." Papier-mâché egg is 4½" high by 3" wide.
