It's Easter party time! Setting up her table of colorful eggs beneath a big red umbrella to keep them safe from any unexpected Spring showers, Frau Hase is ready to get the party started. At first glance this egg may appear to be a foil-covered chocolate candy, but it's actually a papier-mâché egg gift box.
Dating to the mid-60's, this like-new vintage egg was made with the same colorful foil picture on both the front and back. The inside of the egg is finished with a paper lace frill to edge the bottom half of the box, and the decorative inner lining features a design of running rabbits along with the words "Western-Germany." Papier-mâché egg is 5" high by 3½" wide.
