Carrying dyed eggs in his wicker basket, this personable bunny is a charming fellow to join in your Easter celebrations, don’t you think? Handcrafted in Germany by a small, family-run workshop, this big bunny is created in the same fashion as candy container rabbits of the early 1900's. And just like antique rabbits, his head lifts off so that you can fill the hollow body with candies. The bunny is made of two pressed cardboard halves which are stapled together, then it is coated with papier-mâché to give it realistic detailing. Hand painted in naturalistic colors, he has amber brown glass eyes. Wearing a silky ribbon bow on his gold passementerie collar, his basket is filled with green paper grass and three spun cotton eggs. Rabbit is 10" high. Presentation packaged for Easter gifting.
