The frost is on the pumpkins, the summer harvest is in, and our Dancing Scarecrow can't wait to leave his post in the fields and celebrate by partying all Hallowe'en night long! Designed and handcrafted in our Ridgewood atelier, this cotton batting figure is created in the same manner as antique cotton ornaments from the late 1800's. Wearing a crepe paper tunic and trousers, he wears a pointed cap of woven straw. His happy, sweet face of pressed papier-mâché was hand-painted in our own atelier. 3¾" high, the scarecrow has a small, discretely placed hanging loop so that she can be hung as an ornament or displayed in a spooky tableau.
