When Teddy was invited to a fancy Masquerade Ball, he knew he just had to have one of our vintage harlequin masks! Satin half masks such as these were very popular in the early years of the 20th century for both Halloween and Mardi Gras festivities, and these vintage masks were manufactured in Japan as party novelties in the 1930's. Made of pressed cardboard with satin fabric fronts, the colors are all still very vibrant, because they have been safely stored in their original packing box for 75 years. The elastic cording band is not so "elastic" anymore, but you can easily replace it with fresh elastic cording or ribbon ties. Mask is 5 ¾" wide and 3" high. All of the masks are stamped "Made in Japan" on the back.
