While organizing boxes in the attic here at Chestnut Cottage, we found a final carton of 'Wagner Tiere' animals! The family-run company that created these traditional papier-mâché toys closed their doors for good in the mid-1990's, so these animals are our very last remaining inventory of these very popular German toys. Handmade of traditional cast papier-mâché which was finished with a fuzzy-flocked coating, the cat stands 3" high to the tip of its real fur tail, while the spotted puppy is just 1¾” high.
