The Little Town of 1946
The Historic Advent Calendar given
to President Eisenhower in 1953!
The very first Advent calendar that was printed in Germany just after the end of World War II, the Richard Sellmer family presented President Eisenhower with this quaint depiction of a peaceful town center at the yuletide. Accurately reprinted from the original design which is still in this family firm's archives, you too can enjoy counting down the days until Christmas Eve using this historic Advent calendar. Behind each of the numbered windows and doors are the most charming scenes of daily life, and if you set it in front of a light source, the pictures will glow like tiny stained glass windows! Cardboard calendar is accented with fine silver glitter. Made in Germany.
Sold as one Advent calendar.
Fold-open standing decoration is
27½" wide by 8½" high.
