While attending the famous Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1989, we were delighted to see authentic old Christmas cutouts being offered by the original maker. This die-cut and embossed cardboard cutout is lacquer painted and accented with sparkling glass glitter. Now more than 50 years old, each flat is stamped on the back "FOREIGN" and "MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY."

cutout flats were manufactured in
the traditional fashion, the tip of
Santa's nose may have a slight
split due to the deep embossing.

the same cellophane bag that we
received them in back in the '80s.
